Manual install (the hard way)

Download each prerequisite yourself, run them in order, reboot when asked. Use official Microsoft links and the One-Core API GitHub as primary mirrors. Our HTTP archive is a fallback for when you're browsing from Windows XP and can't reach modern HTTPS sites.

Mirror priority

Extract SnipeOffice zip and run Install-SnipeOffice-WinXP.bat for app deployment, or deploy manually to C:\SnipeOffice.

Then: Browser on x64 (after Office)

Download 5-SnipeBrowser-140.0.7339.127-win-x86-xp-setup.exe (GitHub · mirror)
Right-click → Properties → Compatibility (OCA) → Windows 10 → Apply → OK
Run installer. Do not install a second OCA pack.

XP 32-bit: prerequisite order

Requires Windows XP SP3 first.

OCA uses Windows NT 5.x hotfix technology; functionally like installing a Service Pack. It extends XP with NT 6.x-era DLLs so Vista/7+ programs can run. Our automated installer uses one-core-api-pack-x64.exe or one-core-api-pack-x86.exe from this project.
