Extract a zip, run one batch file, reboot when told. The installer handles Windows Installer updates, .NET, WIC, One-Core API, VC++ redistributables, and the application itself. No hunting for prerequisites.
Prefer official Microsoft mirrors and hand-picking every file? See Manual Install.

Save it somewhere obvious (Desktop or My Documents). Do not run it yet.
Right-click the file → Properties → Compatibility tab (OCA tab after Office install)
Set version to Windows 10 → Apply → OK
Now double-click to run the installer
Follow the wizard; reboot if prompted
Launch Snipe from the desktop shortcut
Running the browser installer before setting Windows 10 on the Compatibility tab will crash it. Running it before SnipeOffice means you won't have the OCA tab yet.
Scenario B: XP 32-bit (Browser only)
Upgrade to Windows XP SP3 first if you haven't
Confirm you are on 32-bit XP (not x64!)
Download and extract SnipeBrowserBundleXP-32bit.zip
Run Install-SnipeBrowser-WinXP.bat as Administrator
Reboot when prompted; re-run until complete
Reboot before first browser launch
Scenario C: XP x64 (Office only)
Follow Scenario A Step 1 only. Skip the browser if you just want the office suite and system-wide OCA.
After install
First launch of either app builds profiles; a bit slow once, then snappy
Browser: dismiss the one-time "unsupported command-line switch" if it appears
Do not install a second OCA pack if Office already installed one
Do not leave Windows 10 compatibility enabled on the browser after install
